Quartz countertops, also known as quartz based engineered stone, are made of crushed stone aggregates bound together by epoxy resin adhesive - approximately 66% quartz and 34% resin by volume. Colored glass, shells, metals, or mirrors might be added depending on manufacturer. The slabs are manufactured by compaction and heat using vibro-compression vacuum process.
